Selecting a Resort

We know that selecting a boarding facility is a big decision. One of the best ways to find the right place for your pet is to get recommendations from friends and your veterinarian. Take time to visit a couple of facilities and ask lots of questions! We’ve listed some questions to consider.

What is your initial feeling when you see the exterior of the building?

Do the grounds appear well-maintained? Litter-free?

Is the exterior of the building properly maintained?

Interior – Lobby

Are you greeted with a warm smile?

Is it clean? Does it smell clean?

Interior – Pet Area

Is the facility climate-controlled? What is the temperature range where the pets stay?

How much room does each pet have? Is there adequate space, bedding and water?

Does your dog get to go outside? How many times, and for how long?

Can you bring items (toys or bedding) from home to make your pet more relaxed?

What will your pet be fed, and how often? Can they accommodate any special feeding arrangements?

Is the food preparation area clean?
