Policies & Procedures

We strive to provide the highest quality of pet care possible. We take the responsibility for caring for your dogs and cats seriously. We understand and respect that they are valued members of your family and have placed the following policies and procedures in effect to ensure that all of our guests and their owners are treated with care and respect:

HEALTH & SAFETY

Your pet's health is of the utmost importance to us. All pets must be flea-free. Flea baths will be given, at the owner’s expense, to any dog or cat that arrives with fleas or ticks. The following vaccinations are required and must be administered at least five days prior to check-in:

DOGS: DHPP, Rabies and Bordetella
CATS: FVRCP and Rabies.

We suggest that you have your veterinarian fax your pet's shot records to us as soon as you make your reservation.

We cannot accept your pet without proof of vaccinations.

We do not accept cats that have Feline Leukemia Virus or Feline HIV.

We cannot admit any pet with stitches, bandages, a cast, head cone, or splint. These pets have special needs that can be better serviced in a veterinarian/hospital setting. We cannot accept any pet that is pregnant or in heat.

Special Puppy and Kitten Precautions
We do not board puppies or kittens under the age of six months. This policy is in place to protect your pet, as their immune systems are not as strong as an adult dog or cat. In addition, we recommend that all puppies or kittens, one year or less, receive their vaccinations at least two weeks prior to check-in.

Deposit and Cancellation Policy

We request a deposit of  $25.00 for non-peak stays.  Please note that spring break, 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas are considered “peak” seasons and will require a $50.00 deposit. Your deposit is processed at the time of your reservation, and is applied to your total upon check-out. We have a three-day minimum cancellation policy. For example, if you are to arrive on Friday, you must cancel by Wednesday 8:00 p.m.  in order to obtain a deposit refund. You do not have a reservation until your deposit is received.

Check-out Time
You may check-in or checkout during any of our hours of operation. However, checkouts after noon (12 p.m.) are charged for that day’s stay. Please note there is a three day minimum charge incurred for stays that include spring break, 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas.  We are closed for check-ins and checkouts on New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. We close for check-ins and checkouts at 2:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

Health Assurance
In the unlikely event that your pet needs to see a vet during his or her stay we provide a health program to cover these expenses, up to the amount of $500.00. The enrollment fee is $7.00 per pet; it covers your pet's entire visit - and up to two weeks after his or her stay. This program covers everything except for illnesses for which we require vaccinations and pre-existing conditions; known or unknown. All expenses above $500.00 are to be paid by the pet's owner.
